A multi-story tunnel for cooling butter on pallets

A five-storey cooling tunnel in SM Mlekpol ZPM Grajewo intended for butter cooling based on a pallet stacker and a system of fans, coolers and conveyors. Each of the elements is connected to a common management system, which is responsible for the movement of the pallets and thus ensures their correct temperature.

Thanks to the use of multi-storey pallet racking, despite its large capacity the tunnel takes up little space, which is a great advantage especially for plants with a small amount of storage space. The tunnel management system ensures that the pallet is moved to the other side once the correct temperature has been reached, and the goods reach the required temperature more quickly thanks to the spacing between the packs on the pallet.

A monitoring system is installed in the tunnel, so that it is possible to supervise the correct operation of the equipment without entering the tunnel.
